The next annual meeting of the Association INEDITS will take place in Beauvais from the 8th to the 10th of December 2016. It will be organized by the association Archipop, which collects and highlights amateur films in five departments of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais Picardie region.

The program is still under construction at the moment. Roundtables and workshops will enable us to speak about the use of amateur film in schools and the technical choices available.

This includes the process of motion picture film being transferred in post-production, otherwise known as telecine. Some of these processes include the restoration of frame rate, formatting, standardisation, technical constraints of the data files used for preservation.

In conjunction to the projections and the planned meetings with the members, Archipop is preparing a vast program of animation for the local people of Beauvais, to help them discover the history and diversity of amateur cinema. This entails projections, workshops for filming and developing film in super 8 and recreational editing processes.

The association Archipop, collects and provides access to movies shot by amateur filmmakers in Oise, Somme and Aisne since 2003 and Nord-Pas-de-Calais since 2015. It organizes projections, produces documentaries and introduces the public to its heritage.
