    The Audiovisual Institute of Monaco is seeking an iconographic archivist to work in the Documentary Resources Department.

    The Association for the Management of the Audiovisual Institute of the Principality of Monaco has the mission to identify, collect, restore, protect, preserve, disseminate and promote:

    – All sounds and images, still or moving, professional or amateur, relating directly or indirectly to the Principality of Monaco;

    – Any document related to this memory;

    – All films or audiovisual documents in its possession;

    and to promote audiovisual productions based on the use of the archives.

     

    The Association is looking for an ICONOGRAPHIC ARCHIVIST

    Responsibilities

    Photo library

    – In collaboration with the Head of Iconographic Collections:

    – carry out digitisation campaigns using a scanning table or other specialised equipment and restore still images on all types of media (glass plates, paper, film, etc.);

    – participate in the cataloguing and indexing of the Institute’s photographic collections;

    – conduct iconographic research and provide advice to users.

    Library

    – In collaboration with the Head of Documentary Resources:

    – participate in the processing and management of collections and periodicals: acquisitions, cataloguing, indexing, document storage, documentary monitoring;

    – participate in the management of the digital library;

    – ensure the collections are in good condition.

    Required education
    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in documentation and audiovisual technology.

    Desired experience
    Experience in the field of audiovisual heritage conservation.

    Required skills and knowledge

    – Documentation and classification techniques.

    – Copyright and image usage rights.

    – Photographic media and conservation standards.

    – Photography and digitisation techniques using a scanning table or other specialised equipment.

    – Digitisation and photo editing software.

    – Microsoft Office suite and databases.

    Qualities

    – Rigorous, precise and organised.

    – Ability to analyse and synthesise information.

    – Good writing skills, impeccable spelling.

    – Ability to work in a team.

    – Knowledge of Monaco and cinema would be an advantage.

    Terms of employment
    Type of contract : Permanent contract following a fixed-term contract

    Number of hours worked : 39 hours, Monday to Friday

    Remuneration : €2,020 net (including meal vouchers) + 13th month

    Place of work : Monaco

    Remote working : No
