In 2006, the Cinémathèque de Bretagne organized the annual meetings of the association in Brest. It ran from the 2nd to the 4th of November. The theme this year was “Amateur filmmakers”.
The assembly delved into the relations between multimedia libraries and amateur film makers clubs, with the presence of Philippe Sevestre, then president of the FFCV (french federation of cinema and video), of Serge Michel (UNICA) and of the historian Gilles Ollivier who worked on clubs in Britanny. Some members then described each step of the process of a movie inside an archive, from the collect (Pascal Le Meur) to the indexing. Two public projections were organized. First, was a live music screening with L’Aurore by Murnau, accompanied by Olivier Mellano. This was followed with a program of amateur films which was kept by the members on the theme ‘Britanny under the gaze of European amateur film makers’.
